Further managing director + merger
In July 2023, Kurt Eberle GmbH & Co. KG was able to recruit another managing director for itself. Mr. Armin Kasper has extensive professional experience in the metal industry as well as in sales.
On August 30, 2023, Kurt Eberle GmbH & Co. KG merged with the company Risch GmbH & Co. KG. The former sister company, located in Niefern-Öschelbronn, will be fully integrated into the legal entity of Kurt Eberle GmbH & Co. KG from this point onwards. This merger significantly expands the range of services, enabling the offering of precision turned parts within a diameter range of 2-100 mm in the future.

60th company anniversary
Midway through the year 2020, Kurt Eberle GmbH & Co. KG celebrated its 60th anniversary. Due to the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the company’s anniversary could unfortunately not be properly celebrated.

Certification to IATF 16949:2016
In 2018 we successfully certified according to IATF 16949:2016.

Getting involved in a large medical project – founding of a second production plant.
In 2013, EBERLE was able to get involved in a large project in the medical engineering sector, as a production parts supplier, whereby it became necessary to extend existing capacity. As space had become tight in the meantime, it was decided to move the complete project out and open a new plant in Pforzheim-Buchenbronn. Production started there at the beginning of 2013.

50th company anniversary – emerging stronger from the crisis
In the middle of 2010, Kurt EBERLE GmbH & Co. KG emerged well-organized and strengthened from the crisis, in perfect time for the 50th anniversary of the company’s founding. The highest priority was to extend the markets and achieve a larger sector mix, to make the company more independent and less susceptible to risk in the future.

The crisis
The banking crisis, recession, short hours – those were the catchwords that accompanied Kurt EBERLE GmbH & Co. KG in 2009 on a daily basis, making this year the most difficult in the history of the company.
With the help of short hours working and drastic cost cuts, which demanded a great deal from both management and employees, we were able to avoid enforced redundancies. With the early organizational adaptation to the new situation, the future of the company could be secured.

Growth
The following years were characterized by the continuous development of the company – both with regard to technical aspects and staffing. A major change took place particularly in the parts structure. Turning parts became more and more complex and the material mix shifted strongly towards high-grade steel and special materials. This, together with the ongoing good order situation, required an upgrade of the machine pool and the quality assurance. Furthermore, extensive investments were made in the peripheral and organizational areas of the company.

A farewell and a new start
After almost 45 years since the founding of the company, in 2004 the time came to pass the fortunes of Kurt EBERLE GmbH & Co. KG into other hands. By calling Gerd Hütter and Rainer Weninger into the EBERLE management board, Kurt and Ursula Eberle had set the scene in good time for a smooth transition in the company management.

Further expansion
The company expanded constantly – extensive investments made it necessary to expand the production area in 1998 by a further 2,000 m² to around 8,000 m². In the meantime, EBERLE has over 160 employees.

Another move
The growth continued and Kurt EBERLE Präzisionstechnik set another milestone in its success story with the construction of a new building in the industrial estate Wurmberg. With a production area of more than 6,000 m² and over 80 employees, the company raised the building “Im Welschen Feld” that is still the company headquarters today.

Continuous growth
The success of the company, which had in the meantime gained a good reputation at home and abroad, grew continuously. So, in 1980, it was necessary to extend the production area to a total of 1,600 m². By now the company had 50 employees and everyone was stretched to the limit.

Flexibility as a competitive advantage
With a consistent implementation of the company philosophy – being a partner to the customer and delivering “quality and precision” – a special image could be established compared to the competition, that successfully led to a booming order situation. Kurt Eberle had recognized early on, that only a flexible production, which can also meet the requirements of market niches, leads to growth and stability for the company.

Move to Neubärental
Only 10 years later, the cellar was bursting at the seams with meanwhile 18 machines and 12 employees and the company moved into the newly built plant in Neubärental, with a production area of 500 m².

Working between kitchen and cellar
Kurt Eberle worked literally day and night to advance the company and to satisfy the demand reflected in the rapidly climbing order intake. Only half a year after the start, further machines were purchased and in January 1961 the first permanent employee came on board. That the company constantly grew was also, to a high degree, thanks to Ursula Eberle, the wife who joined the business and steered and managed the commercial aspects of the company.

Foundation
In 1960, Kurt Eberle decided to venture the move into self-employment. He started the company Kurt Eberle in 1960 with only one longitudinal lathe and with his brother Walter as partner. Where the company started up is also legendary: in the cellar of the Gaststätte Buckenberg in Pforzheim, his parental home.
